Have a look at the site below ( see url) if you had a CDROM installed at one time you can ignore buying cables etc. It is actually quite easy ( if you have doen it before).
Cdroms usually have the firmware already, so it should be a matter of "plug and Play". It wouldn't hurt to check for newer firmware updates for the drive. After it is installed.
