| | Vista Media Center Recording Errors Hello, I have a client with a PC running Vista Ultimate who relies on the Vista Media Center TV recording from a Dual Analog tuner using a cable signal source. The symptom is that the vast majority of scheduled recordings are split into multiple pieces. The user was trying to clean up his pc so we clean formatted the harddrive and clean installed Vista, and before installing any applications we simply patched windows, installed the latest drivers including for the TV Tuner, but the issue persists. The event viewer shows entries similar to the following: Log Name: Media Center Source: Recording Date: 5/5/2008 8:42:00 PM Event ID: 3 Task Category: None Level: Warning Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: xxx-PC Description: Recording of <showname> began late on 05/05/2008 20:28:01 due to a temporary failure caused by either a system malfunction or a power loss and was stopped due to a lack of audio/video data. Another recording attempt will be made. The TV Tuner is identified in Device Manager as a "Angel MPEG Device" and is made by Luminate, Inc. I appreciate any help you can provide to help resolve this issue ![]() |
