I cannot edit track information in my Media Player. I have Windows Vista
Basic Home Edition and i assume it's the basic edition because the properties
only says Windows Media Player... I right-click on the song title and click
edit... i enter the correct title for the song and press enter... it just
returns to the previous title. It does the same for new songs and old. It's
the same for the artists, the albums and the other...

Any suggestions? Please?

Under WMP's Tools:Options:Library:Monitor Folders menu dialog, is that list
currently empty?

I'm suspecting that your Media Library is corrupt, which can be reset by
these steps--
