| | MediaPlayer not reading added items. Hi All....hope someone can help me solve this. I have been using the latest version of WMP11 for a while now with no problems, but noticed the other day that it won't read any new additions to its database. Tracks ripped through WMP11 are added to the deignated folder, but WMP11 can't see them, even though they are there in Explorer. The same is true of any edits to iD3 tags, and any new playlists I create. I have tried a manual add files (F3) but nothing turns up. I've tried deleting/renaming the 'media-player' folder to re-create the database, but it makes no difference. F3 finds 3000 or so mp3s on my disk, but won't add any of them to the library. If I log onto my PC using my second profile and start WMP11, all the items I added through the first profile are there. I can make any changes and rip music using my second profile, and then copy that database to my first profile though, and eveythings read just fine; but it's a pain in the .... to say the least. BTW I'm using Vista Ultimate with all updates except SP1. Many Thanks in Advance! |
