Movie Maker

I have Windows Vista Home Basic on my computer which is under a year old. I
just downloaded my pictures and used Movie Maker to make a nice movie. I
burned it on a CD, works great in my computer drive, but when I try to play
it in my DVD player, nothing happens. What could be wrong? Can I not burn
DVD's in my computer with Vista Home Basic? Help - I'm frustrated.

Is there another way to save it to the computer and then burn it to a CD so
that it will play on the DVD player??

Thanks.

Re: Movie Maker

Katie,

The Home Basic system doesn't include software to make and burn DVDs....
unless it's added by the computer manufacturer.

My Toshiba Vista Home Basic laptop doesn't have a DVD burner, but it came
with ULead's DVD Factory which can make the files for a DVD on the hard
drive. I can copy the files to another computer that has a DVD burner to
finish the process.

So it depends on if you have a DVD burner, and what software the computer
maker put on it.
