Re: Movie Maker can't import from my camcorder only parts of the tape

Vista Movie Maker did not support my new Canon HV30 camcorder. So I ended up buying Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0 which lets me control my camcorder and import only parts. And Vegas has a steeper learning curve than MM.

Re: Movie Maker can't import from my camcorder only parts of the tape

I've got the same problem and it's driving me CRAZY!

I've got a sony HVR-HD1000 and Vista Home Premium. I used to have both options of importing entire tape or parts of. Went to import video and had the same problem of only being able to import mpeg and entire tape. Frustrating as I didn't know if I'd done something on the camera or on the PC.

I haven't used WMM since I installed service pack 2 in a windows update. Could this be it and can I set it back to how it was before?

Help me please .................
