Vista - WMP11 Not showing ripped music in Library

If I rip a CD using WMP11 to a folder on a network hard drive the
ripping process works fine and I can see the file where it should be on
the hard drive. However, the albumn refuses to show in the Library of
WMP. I have gone to tools, options, library an monitor folder and told
it where to look but the albumn is not shown. Anyone know why WMP
refuses to show the albumn in the library?

Does it work if you rip it normally?
What file system does the remote hard drive use?
If you manually drag and drop that folder onto the player's library, does it
then show up?
