Import Pictures - Canon Digital Rebel

I am having trouble importing pictures from my Canon Digital Rebel. Driver
installed fine, and the device is listed in the Scanners and Cameras copntrol
panel. However, I have no options for importing. The device does not show up
in Explorer, and the camera is not an available option in the Windows Photo
Gallery import dialog.

Anyone had the same problems or any tips?

Thanks!

Vista cannot even find a driver for mine. Canon does not seem to have a Digital Rebel driver for Vista.

Do you have a memory card reader? If you do...
just insert the memory card and copy / paste...
drag / drop the files to a folder on your hard drive.

Maybe the following article will offer some ideas:

Windows Vista
How do I get pictures from
my camera to my computer?

Re: Import Pictures - Canon Digital Rebel

If you go into the menu of the camera under setup2, change the camera's setting to P2P instead of what it's on originally. Vista should then just treat it as an external hard drive.
