| | WMP "Windows Media Player has stopped working" 1. I start WMP from the task bar 2. Note that it says I have URGE as my store but I un-installed URGE a while back 3. I see a list of music that I can play from the library (default view) 4. about 10-20 seconds of doing nothing and WMP throws up a dialog box with "Windows Media Player has stopped working" 5. I close it and it says it is fixed in RTM! So basically I can't start WMP and play stuff. I did un-install and re-install and yes reboot several times. This is an RC1 install, when I was installed I did not install over WinXP/SP2 I did a new install. Note - I can click on media files from file manager and they work. Note that Windows Photo Gallery is also broken :-( Daniel Adam - danadam@connectos.com or aethicus@hotmail.com PS: Ex-MSFT worked in WM group for many years :-) |

| | RE: WMP "Windows Media Player has stopped working" Hey there.. I ddn't understand, wht did u uninstall and re-install?? WMP?? if you did and it ddn't work, then in my personal opinion something is wrong with Vista install, try to fix it.. If you don't know how, put the vista cd, restart the pc, and make sure to boot from the DVD, and act like you're installin a fresh copy, the installer will display tht you have vista already installed and will suggest tht you fix it, click ok.. Hope tht works.. "Daniel Adam" wrote: > 1. I start WMP from the task bar > 2. Note that it says I have URGE as my store but I un-installed URGE a while > back > 3.
