    Based on your email address, I'll assume you're in the US.

    Legally, all creative works are automatically copyrighted from the
    moment of creation, no action is required. However unless you register
    the copyrights you're limited to collecting actual damages in an
    infringement claim.

    Technically, if the movie studios can't manage it, what makes you think
    you'll be able to? -- In other words, assume people can technically copy
    your media regardless of what actions you take.

    Note that I'm not a lawyer, although I do play one on the internet,
    consult appropriate legal council.
