| Vista Home Premium 64-bit | Windows Movie Maker - importing unfinished project from XP to Vista I had to change out from my XP PC due to a fault that couldn't be repaired. But I was able to recover my hard drive and have it as an external one now with just My Documents. I had an unfinished Movie Maker project. My new system is Vista 64-bit. I can't import my unfinished XP Movie Maker project to Movie Maker on my new PC. I get an error message about codecs. Can anyone help? |

Can anyone help? ![]() Try surfing to the Microsoft website and tracking down the 64 bit versions of your codecs. They offer a few to download Ideally you will want to identify exactly which codecs you want and just install those. You don;t give details of your project settings or codecs you used so it might be a matter of checking your original video clips. Avoid downloading codec packs...they tend to cause more confusion. Preferably, if possible, re do the project and use the codecs you should have already installed |
