Transfer of video from a memory card to my computer.

I have a Panasonic HD video camera w/ a memory card. I have Windows Vista. I
have downloaded the required Panasonic software - HD Writer - to my computer.
I have inserted the memory card and run the software. I can see, edit , etc
the video in the software. I have saved to my computer hard drive. But, when
I try to view or import from my hard drive using Window Media Player or Photo
Gallery, etc, I get a message saying the selected file has an extension
(tdt2) not recognized by Window Media Player. A second message says Windows
Media Player cannot play the file; the player might not support the file type
or might not support the codec (?) that was used to compress the file.

Any ideas? Thanks,

Try Windows Movie Maker or Media Center.

Thanks, Bob.
I still get similar messages w/ Movie Maker and Media Center. Any other
suggestions?

Thanks,
