As in the title, really. Instead of opening avi files, I'm asked "Do you want
to open or save this file?". Even if I click "Open", the same prompt appears.
I've downloaded a zillion codec packs, to no avail.
Any ideas folks?
Cheers

I don't have your problem. I can double click on an AVI file and it opens
up just fine in WMP11. Vista RC2 x64 5477

Are you referring to AVI files on the 'net or your hard drive? If so, which
browser/download manager?
Is it just AVI files affected?

Hi Mike, it's stuff I have on the HDD, and it's only AVI. Using IE7, no DLM

Do you have any AV/Spyware software intercepting these files?
