Do clips have to be retained after the movie is published?

I have just published a movie and posted it on youtube, and I'm wondering if I have to keep the original source files in Movie Maker, or can I get rid of them as I'm wanting to start a new project.

Thanks in advance

Re: Do clips have to be retained after the movie is published?

they are no longer needed for your video on YouTube... or for the movie you
saved from Movie Maker.

it's up to you if and when you want to delete them... the Movie Maker
project file won't work again without them, but you may not need the project
file any longer.

You're free to delete them from your own computer if you so desire, just
don't rely on YouTube as a backup service, and plan appropriately.

Ok, thanks
I won't need to edit it again so I'll probably be alright to delete them.
