| | WMV files play choppy only on Windows Media Player 11 After upgrading to Windows Vista Ultimate RTM from the MSDN site, I've found that WMV files play horribly on the Windows Media Player 11 that ships with Vista. This problem didn't happen with Media Player 11 on Windows XP and the problem doesn't happen when I view the file in Real Player. The video is extremely choppy but the sound appears to be okay. I've tried setting hardware acceleration down to the minimum and it doesn't help. Again, the problem only happens with Windows Media Player 11 that ships with Vista, not the one that installed from the update site on XP and not with Real Player. What's going on here, Microsoft??? |

| | Re: WMV files play choppy only on Windows Media Player 11 This was happening to me and I thought it was a video driver issue but when I turned the video acceleration completely off it went away with no ill effects.
