Final Release

got the final release, installed to a freshly reformatted drive... quickly
checked Movie Maker, DVD Maker, Photo Gallery, and Windows Media Player....

all look and sound well...

I won't be writing a book about Vista, so all of the 'How-To' info I'd
usually put in a book will be going onto my website.... this install marks
the beginning for me.... issues I bump into from this point are not beta
ones.

Re: Final Release

John,

I recgnize the value of each of MS's media offerings, but wish there was one
that did it all.

I love photo story 3. The ability to move within a photo is the most
flexible of their offering. But ya can't add video clips.

Movie maker lets me put the two together but movement within the photos is
restricted. You can't choose where to start and where to stop.

DVD burner is nice but for what I don't know.

I want to be able to use photostory3, add video clips, and upload it to a
site or burn it to DVD. Can it be done?

Thanks,
Jeff

Re: Final Release

yes... first make the story clips you want to use, then use them in Movie
Maker with the other stuff, and then use DVD software to make the disc....
but yes, using each app as needed, not from a central overall interface.

Re: Final Release

Thanks John,

Do you know of a tutorial for this? How do I import the individual frames
from photostory3 with assigned movement into MovieMaker?

Re: Final Release

When trying to import my wp3 file into Movie maker, I get the following
error.

The file D:\CSTUFF\PhotoStory1.wp3 cannot be imported because the codec
required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have
already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows
Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.

OK where do I get the codec? Please.

Thanks
Jeff

Re: Final Release

you need to save the story as a WMV file.... and import that file into Movie
Maker.

see my website's Photo Story 3 section > Saving page
