Windows DVD Maker and Windows Movie Maker do not run

I had both Movie Maker with DVD support working on Windows XP sp2 why doesn't
it work on Vista. It told me I needed to support DirectX 9 and I installed
the latest DirectX 10.0 and tested it and it works great. Why doesn't the
applications now work?

Re: Windows DVD Maker and Windows Movie Maker do not run

Windows Movie Maker and Windows DVD Maker both require a display adapter
which is DirectX 9.0 and supports the hardware acceleration features of
DirectX 9.0. You need to upgrade your display adapter (also known as video
card or graphics card) to one which supports these technologies.

Here are a list of compatible graphics adapters for Windows Vista:

NVIDIA: http://www.nvidia.com/page/technology_vista_gpu.html
ATI / AMD: http://ati.amd.com/technology/Window.../Products.html
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 or higher is compatible with Windows
Vista and supports Windows Aero as well
(http://www.intel.com/products/chipsets/gma950/).

Hope this helps,
