Questions about Photo Gallery

Hi!
I use Adobe Photohop Album today to handle my digital images. But Photo
Gallery seems to have all the functionality I need.
In Photoshop Album all metadata about the pictures are stored in a file
(.psa), how is this handled in Photo Gallery? Nice to know because this file
is very important to backup. I have spent serveral hours or days to tag my
pictures i Photoshop Album, is there a way to convert the tags to Photo
Gallery? (please say yes).

Re: Questions about Photo Gallery

I've been investigating this and it seems the metadata is stored inside the
files themselves, using an XML-like format called RDF.
Here's more info:

There are some programs out there that can help you manipulate the data.

I've been trying to figure out a programmatic way to read and write this
data from inside the files but I've had little luck so far. Please let me
know if you run across anything.

Re: Questions about Photo Gallery

I was wondering about this and video tagging in Photogallery (xvid, divx,
avi, etc...) . I have tagged a few videos with some info (working on a
family project, wanted to keep the tags straight) and when I logged in as
another user, the tags were not there for the videos, they were all marked as
untagged. It seems like if it were stored in the video itself, I would be
able to see it via another user. I don't want to spend hours organizing only
to have to do it all over again if I have to re-install or restore. Any
information would be very helpful.
