Vista - prevent monitor power saving during WMP video playback

hi,
i notice WMP 11 has an option to disable the screensaver. this is not much
use if you use the default power scheme and the monitor switches off every
20 mins. i think it should be a feature (either in WMP or power management)
to disable monitor switch off while video is playing in WMP, and media centre
too i suppose.

i want to keep the default 20 minute monitor setting because it is a very
sensible level of power saving to have. surely if WMP can prevent the
screensaver it shouldn't be difficult to prevent monitor switch-off due
to powersaving? i couldn't find it in the WMP options, or as an option in
control panel / power options.
