My media PC is running Vista RC1 (build 5600) and is connected to my router
over ethernet. It is an older maching (1.3 GHz Athlon, 512 MB RAM), but has
no noticable problems running Windows or Media Player 11.

My 360 is connected wirelessly and has a pretty strong signal - consistently
right around the HDTV-acceptable level in the Media Center Network Tuner.

There are two ways to stream music from the PC to the 360 - WMP sharing
through the 360's music player (via Media blade or Guide) or through the
Media Center Extender. It works great through the Media Center extender, but
that requires the sole focus of the 360.

The WMP sharing/360 music player works pretty well, but every so often I get
a brief hiccup in the music. It happens irregularly, but once every 2-3
minutes on average. It happens whether I am playing a game, watching the
visualizer, or just letting the Dashboard sit there. I tried upping the WMP
network service process priority to high on the PC, but that didn't seem to
help either.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any thoughts on how to fix it or whether
the problem is likely on the PC or 360 side of things?

Thanks,
-Reed
