| | Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel - Import using Windows? I've got a Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel. I've loaded the latest Canon Windows XP WIA Driver (5.2.0) - there is no Vista driver listed on the Canon site. I don't get the "Import using Windows" dialog when I connect the camera, and Windows Photo Gallery doesn't list the camera in the import list (although my Canon scanner is listed). Any suggestions? -- Nigel M |

| | Re: Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel - Import using Windows? I never connect my cameras to my computer. The camera manufacturer's insist on taking over your computer with their software. I use a card reader and just copy files from the memory card. -- Kerry Brown Microsoft MVP - Shell/User http://www.vistahelp.ca "Nigel Molesworth" <reply@thegroup.com> wrote in message news:crtfp258msrlcnhcqqmtm195qi1o95ivgt@4ax.com... > I've got a Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel. | | Re: Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel - Import using Windows? Nigel, I have the same camera. There are no drivers. I use a card reader. One feature that I wanted was that the pictures would be imported with the correct orientation, and in XP this didn't happen with the card reader, but in Vista, the orientation is preserved. Also, the card reader is MUCH faster than loading from the camera, and I don't waste my battery. Card readers aren't very expensive, and worth it. Hope this helps, TowerDave "Nigel Molesworth" <reply@thegroup.com> wrote in message news:crtfp258msrlcnhcqqmtm195qi1o95ivgt@4ax.com... > I've got a Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel.
