Distorted Screenshots in Vista

I'm trying to capture screenshots in Windows Vista using the "Print Screen"
key. The problem is, when I paste the screenshot into paint, it looks gray
and distorted with many vertical lines. Here is a link to one of my
screenshots:

My desktop looks normal and nothing like this.
I don't quite understand why this is. Capturing screenshots in Windows XP
was flawless.

Thanks

Re: Distorted Screenshots in Vista

It's because of the graphics card - I get the same ( No doubt the graphics
card developers know about this - and will get it fixed for future builds.

Re: Distorted Screenshots in Vista

Yes, both Nvidia and ATI are slow in providing their drivers. Well, I guess I
can't show off my desktop to anyone.

Common with several video cards. Turning off Glass is the only
workaround so far.

Re: Distorted Screenshots in Vista

If you turn Windows Aero off (Aero Glass) - you should be able to take
screenshots. It's not the same... I know, but it's still something )

Re: Distorted Screenshots in Vista

Yeah, I tried several screen capture applications, all to no avail.

I guess turning off glass is the only option. But it's so pretty.
