| | WMP 11 in Vista DVD Playback is jumpy Hi All, I installed Vista Home Premium on my Toshiba Saellite P100-351 Notebook. Everything is running fine, except that Media Player does not playback DVD's correctly. The Video is extremely jerky. Strange enough, the built in Media Center plays back fine as does Intervideo WinDVD. But since I prefer Media Player, I would lie to get this resolved. I have already verified that my Controller Port is set to DMA. This Issue seems to only affect Media Player 11. Any Ideas? Steven |

| Home premium 32bit | Re: WMP 11 in Vista DVD Playback is jumpy I'm having this problem too. Normal videos on my computer play fine in WMP, it just appears to be DVD's. The picture is really jumpy, I can't seem to fix it. |

| | Re: WMP 11 in Vista DVD Playback is jumpy Could be the drive, what do you mean by normal videos? On the HDD or burned to DVD as data disc? Remember the DVD drive has to keep up with with a fatter data stream on DVDs. "pybusj" <guest@xxxxxx-email.com> wrote in message news:b8471ace85e95149dc8d623646161391@xxxxxx-gateway.com... | | Re: WMP 11 in Vista DVD Playback is jumpy In my case, it plays fine on my computer as an avi file. When I burn it as a DVD to either my internal drive, or an external drive, it is jumpy. Didn't have this problem working with windows XP "N Brown" wrote: Quote: > Could be the drive, what do you mean by normal videos? On the HDD or > burned to DVD as data disc? | | Re: WMP 11 in Vista DVD Playback is jumpy So playing a file back on both DVD drives results in choppy play? External USB drive? and internal drive if I understand right. | | Re: WMP 11 in Vista DVD Playback is jumpy And in my case DVDs burned on two different drives produce the same jittery result. My Hp computer has lots of capacity. So I'm wondering if there is something about Vista itself which is causing it, and any suggested solutions.
