Vista - photo gallery can't see my pics

Hello Windows Photo Gallery does not see any of my pictures.
I have pictures in a folder called pictures under the admin
account. I have lots of pictures on my c: drive but neither this
program nor Picasa can locate them and import them.

I have looked around the forums and I am the lonely one with
this problem. :-(

1. Are you logged in as admin / same account where your pictures stored?
2. What does that mean "Gallery does not see pictures"? Do you see generic
thumbnails or just cannot see anything at all?
3. Can you see the folder you added to the gallery on Navigation Tree (left
pane of the Gallery), if so, can you click on it on Navigation Tree? Do you
still "don't see any of your pictures"

I moved the pictures folder and now they show up.
