| | tags aren't indexed in start menu search.... Am I correct here? When you tag pictures, you can search from within photo gallery, but not from the start menu? You can search file names for pics, but not tags.... jf |

I've had no luck. go to the Navigation pane with the exact name of the tag staring you in the face, photo gallery will still not bring up the photo. (And yes, I imported the photo album with the tags into photo gallery). I'm very frustrated that tags are HARDLY AT ALL SEARCHABLE. |

| | Re: tags aren't indexed in start menu search.... There must be some configuration problem with your system. I just tried searching for 'snow' in the start - search box, it came up with several (not all, there are more than would fit) of pictures that have that tag. Then I clicked on 'see all results' which brought up the search window and showed me what I think is correctly everything. My system is pretty plain Vista Home premium. The pictures in question are in folders under 'Pictures'. Most of the tags were added in windows photo gallery but some were imported with the pictures.
