| | Winamp and other sound program instances It seems that if more than one program that creates an instance in the mixer is open, say Winamp and a YouTube clip, you don't get any sound. If you pause Winamp, you can't resume. If you close Winamp (or the browser running the YouTube clip) both remain running processes that have to be shut down in Task Manager to regain sound at all. I'm not sure if this is just Winamp behaving poorly, but I've had some of the same issues with RealPlayer, Quicktime and certain video games. Fine for me to be able to handle, but probably not for someone unfamiliar with Task Manager, and probably very frustrating for those users. The audio architecture needs to be much more efficient if this is going to be a real multimedia OS. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
