Vista - Windows Mobile Syncing Recorded TV

I am attempting to sync recorded tv media with my Mobile 5.0 device (Treo
700W). When I attenpt to sync, and error occurs during file conversion. I
have tried to add the recorded content both maually from WMP and also from
Media Center.

I am using a brand new PC with Vista Ultimate.

I am having the same problem. I am trying to sync recorded tv to a samsung
PMC. When I attempt the sync I get an error and no conversion occurs. I am
using WMP11 on xp and on my second computer Vista Home Premium WMP11 and
Media Center.

I found a Microsoft page with work-arounds
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925706/en-us) - but it still has not worked
for me. I tried to call Gateway - what a mistake. They told me to buy Nero
7.

Well I got mine to work. I narrowed down the problem to WMP11. Then I
narrowed that down to the Mpeg Decoder. Aparently WMP11 seems to be a little
picky on which decoder you use. I tried old and new from intervideo and
powerdvd none worked. I then purchased the NVIDIA Pure Video Decoder from
NVIDIA and now I can convert my TV shows to my PMC no problem. Tomorrow I
will try to sync some videos that need converted to my PMC and WM5 Dell Axim.
I will post once I get my results.
