Vista - Unable to play wma files in WMP11 running vista?

I have downloaded wma files and cannot play them in WMP11. Mp3 works fine. I
have checked codecs....cannot find any problems. Any help?

Where do you go, to check the installed codecs in Vista? Thanks.

I am having the same problem. I use to be able to play them but now I cant.
Also cant play streamed .wmv files. This is getting rediculous and I dont
know what else to try. I have found few answers here and other places online.
I have seen a few people with this sort of problem but I havent seen any good
answers. There has to be a reason this happened and a solution. I noticed
several people in this forum that mentioned a problem similar but not yet has
anyone provided a solution.

Agreed. The answers have been very few and far between. Poor follow-thru by MS.
