wmp 11 C00D11D2

I'm running the fully updated version of Vista Home Premium with a fully
updated version of WMP11, and, for the past 2 days, whenever I try to play a
video file of any format I get an error message saying, "Windows Media Player
cannot access the file. The file might be in use, you might not have access
to the computer where the file is stored, or your proxy settings might not be
correct." I've done nothing in the last 2 days that would suddenly change my
proxy settings, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I can play audio files
just fine, but not any streamed videos or videos from an external drive or
my hard drive. Videos embedded into a webpage seem to work fine, but I get
the error message when they're played in the player itself. My lother
computer running XPw/SP2 and WMP11 doesn't have any troubles with the same
files, so I know it can't be the files.

I'm having the same issue. I see that there is a hotfix but I'm not sure how
to actually get it.
