| | Re: DVD Maker Crash That's a crash in the Intel Audio Codec, which I believe was sold by them to Ligos. What does Ligos say about this crash? I haven't checked this out further, but you should be able to uninstall that codec... does temporarily renaming iac25_32.ax to iac25_32.ax.bak fix you up? This is all rather basic attempts to help you - I haven't done much research on the issue yet, but the crash information you've provided does clearly identify that file/codec. -- Speaking for myself only. | | Re: DVD Maker Crash Getting rid of iac25_32.ax solved the problem. Once I figured out how to "take ownership" of the files to br able to delete them. I had installed the Intel codec to be able to see some old Intel webcam .avi files. Bad move Thanks "zachd [MSFT]" wrote: > > That's a crash in the Intel Audio Codec, which I believe was sold by them to > Ligos. What does Ligos say about this crash? |

| | Re: DVD Maker Crash Where did you install it from / how did you install it? I don't know if Ligos/Intel will be fixing this, but it'd be good to know where people are getting this from. -- Speaking for myself only. See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. | | RE: DVD Maker Crash Not knowing much about codec I just downloaded the old codec from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/..._Installer.htm It was free (less than what it was worth in the end). It did allow me to play the .avi files and render from Movie Maker but they screwed up DVD Maker. Ligos does have a new Codec pak that is supposed to be Vista compatible but I don't feel like paying $14.95 just to find out and run a few old web cam videos. |
