For multiple discs albums, say a 2 CD set, WMP 11 can't seem to recognize the
disc labels and can only play the songs sorted the track number.
For example:
1. Song 1 from CD1
2. Song 1 from CD2
3. Song 2 from CD1
4. Song 2 from CD2... etc.
It would be much better if it can play track 1,2,... from CD1 then track
1,2,,... from CD2, etc. iTunes can do this.
WMP11 don't even have a column for the disc number so I can't even manually
sort it.
Has anyone else have this problem and found out how to solve it? If there
are no solutions, Microsoft should really consider add this simple function
in a patch.

Create and save a 'playlist' in the correct order. You could even create 2
playlists, one for each CD, if you wanted. You can then play your tracks in
the correct order, and without fuss, whenever you want.

WMP doesn't use "Set" in sort, so you would need to label the discs as "The
Album [Disc 1]" and "The Album [Disc 2]" as opposed to both being "The
Album". =)

I am looking for the same feature.

Do you see a chance that Microsoft will enable the CD-Set field in the future?

It's generally against the terms of my employment to speak to future looking
questions like that. You understand that if I'm wrong either way, or if
circumstances later change either way, that would disappoint people, and
that's not fair to anyone involved.

So: the feedback has been passed along. I cannot comment upon "future"
questions. Generally I would think this unlikely, but again - that's the
call of the metadata/library team. =\
