Vista - Slideshow themes wont work

Hello,
When I try any slideshow theme, like Album for example, I simply get a blank
screen and lose the controls. I can fix it so it uses the default slideshow
again, but can anyone tell me why the slideshow themes wont work please?

my system is a gateway machine, details:
Athlon 64 x2 4600+ with a geforce 7600gs

processor 5.0
memory 5.9
graphics 4.6
gaming graphics 4.8
primary hard disk 5.4


any help appreciated

I am having the same issue but dont know how to get the default one back and
am stuck with a blank screen. Can you tell me what to do to reset it so the
default one will play again?
