| | Listening To 'Line-In' How is it that I make it so that I can listen to the line-in jack on the back of my computer through my speakers. I know that my hardware is working correctly because I am able to record from the line-in jack. |

| | Re: Listening To 'Line-In' To listen to audio from the Line In jack over your computer speakers, try this: 1. Connect the audio device to your computer through the line in jack. 2. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Sound. 3. Click the Playback tab (if it is not already selected), and then click your speakers in the list of playback devices. 4. Click Properties. 5. In the Speakers Properties dialog box, click the Levels tab, and then find the Line In setting. 6. If the Line In is muted (where the speaker icon has a red circle next to it), click the Speaker icon. The red circle should not appear next to the Speaker icon now. 7. Play the audio device that is connected to the line in jack. 8. If sound plays through the speakers, click OK in the Speaker Properties dialog box. I hope this is what you were looking for...
