I have just recently purchases a new HP Computer with VISTA on it. I have
not upgraded an older system in any way, this is a new computer with VISTA
as its OS. I at this time love it, and find it easily to work with. Now I am
not a hard core computer use, I do not have it networked, nor hooked up to
tons of printers and such.
But I have not run into any problems with using VISTA at this point. The
only issue I did have was that the new printer that came with the computer
needed to have the VISTA driver loaded onto it, other than having to go to
the HP site to download that, I had no problem. I have also found that all
my MP3 players work, My iPod & iTunes work fine, plus so does my daughters
MP3 players. I have not run into any programs as of yet that do not work
with it.
I'd just investigate it and look into it. If you like the system you are
running and it works fine for what you are doing, its not like you have to
update. I'd read all the posts though about the problems people are having
and the entire response posts they are getting. I have been reading them
too, but am seeing that some are operator error, or that their system was
not able to handle the upgrade and such. Many of the problems are fixable by
downloading an update or patch. Not that MS may not be in error, just not
that everything is the OS fault.
