| | DVD play problem, no error message Hello, I’ve just done a clean install of Vista Home Premium (OEM, 32 bit), and I can’t get DVDs to play. Unlike the other posts that I see here I have no error message, it just goes jerky for a moment and then stops while the audio continues in a jerky manner. From what I’ve read Home Premium should have the codec’s that it needs to play an out of the box DVD, but for me it’s just not happening. All the sample stuff like the welcome to Media Centre, the butterfly video that comes as a demo, etc. seem to run fine. The problem is only with DVDs. In terms of possible software conflicts the only stuff on it at the moment is iTunes (with QuickTime) and Skype. Any idea about what the problem is and how to fix it would be appreciated. Thanks, |
