| | Play DVDs on WMP 11 Hi All - I am settng a Vista Enterprise Edition OS and am running into trouble getting DVDs to play on WMP 11. I initally would get this message when trying to play a commercial DVD movie: Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer. So I purchased Cineplayer DVD Decoder Pack 2.3.1-ESD from Roxio. Now I get this erroron WMP 11: Windows Media Player cannot play DVD video. You might need to adjust your Windows display settings. Open display settings in Control Panel, and then try lowering your screen resolution and color quality settings. I have made every reasonable adjustment but still get this error. Any suggestions? TIA Mike |

| | Re: Play DVDs on WMP 11 The Cineplayer decoder, as are most if not all of the other simple decoders, is not compatible with Vista. They all require specifically Windows XP. There are some full DVD programs, including InterVideo's WinDVD that is compatible with Vista. I am using that program myself on Vista Business with absolutely no problem.
