choppy at the end

So I copied all of the ripped music I had onto data dvds and loaded them into
windows media player 11 when i got my pc. Everytime I play something the last
10 seconds or so the sound cuts out almost as though its skipping like a bad
cd. It does this for EVERY song I play. I've sifted through the forums and
found nothing about it. I have integrated audio, not a special sound card. I
wish I could have gotten this pc without Vista. Everything I've read makes it
sound like a complete nightmare but any help on this matter would be greatly
appreciated......atleast until I uninstall it and stick XP on it.

Re: choppy at the end

This may help
Applies to a Dell where at about 20 seconds from the end of each song there
is a single skip.

right click on speaker in system notification area
select playback devices
in playback tab double click speakers/headphones
in enhancements taab check 'Disable all enhancements'

Your milage may vary.

Michael

Re: choppy at the end

The area at the extreme lower right of the Taskbar (extreme lower right of your
screen -- time, speaker, etc.).
