Tags on Video Files

Running Vista, using Photo Gallery I tag a .wmv video file. Thereafter in
Photo Gallery when I select that tag it shows up along with other pictures I
have tagged with the same name.

Can I use these video tags elsewhere? Particularly, in Windows Media Player
and/or Windows Media Center? It doesn't seem to show up in Media Player as an
"actor" nor in Media Center as a "tag".

=================================
The goal is that all metadata will be written
back to the image file but in some cases that
is not possible.

Some possible reasons are:

Insufficient permissions to write to the file.

File type (or codec) doesn't support metadata
writeback (e.g. BMP, PNG, GIF, MPEG, etc.).

Corruption in the file (badly formed metadata, etc.)
File is locked for writing by another application.

In those cases the metadata is written to the
Vista Photo Gallery database:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\
Windows Photo Gallery\Pictures.pd4

If you do lots of cataloging...it would be a good
idea to make regular backups of the Pictures.pd4 file.

Your other applications (and other parts of Windows)
will not have access to the metadata that is written
only to the .pd4 file
