Vista - Media Center Vista, not recognising files

Hi folks,

I have Media Center on my laptop running with Vista, it does not recognise
any movie files I have,not even the sample ones that where installed with the
laptop it recognises the folder put states it is empty.
I can open the folder & play the files in WMP or DivX but Media Center wont.

The files are a mostly in AVI


any ideas??

Try this link, I think it will let you play avi files in Media Center.

I have the same problem, somehow the mpg can't be read in Media Center, not
even the sample videos.
