Re: windows media center store error

I'm not the original reporter, but I've had the same issue daily since Monday
of this week and am trying to find an answer.

The fault bucket number I get is 344303709.

Re: windows media center store error

I did have the Google Toolbar installed. I removed it, but the crash still
occurs.

Apparently Media Center itself no longer works as well. I tried to run it
last night for the first time in several days, and it refused to open.

This crash problem started on 4/25 - the same day that the April Media
Center update rollup was installed on the machine. I can try rolling back
that update and see if it solves it.

Re: windows media center store error

I'll be taking a further look at this later (maybe Tuesday?) when I get a
chance - I have a friend coming into town. Nothing really jumped out from
the initial analysis I did, but I haven't really done a lot of debugging
through WMC code historically, so it's a learning experience for me. =)

Re: windows media center store error

I'm not sure if this will help or not, but another site pointed me to the
ehshell.crash file and then I found the corresponding mcupdate*.crash files
as well.

All of them show the same problem, which started on 4/25. The MC Update
Rollup was also installed on 4/25, as well as a Java update. Those seem to
be the only items that were modified on that date.

As you can see, both of them seem to be something in
MediaCenter.Store.SqlLite.

The ehshell.crash and one of the mcupdate.crash files are included here.

mcupdate5028.crash:
