Video signal drops out while watching WMV

Even though Vista's Windows Media Player is set NOT to allow the screen saver
to work during play, it comes on anyhow. Also, another time the video signal
droped out and the screen goes blank (with a no signal notice on screen from
monitor). A third thing is it pops out of full-screen mode by itself.

(Now ask me if I enjoyed the movie last night having to jump up repeatedly
    to fix these multiple problems).

    I have Vista Home Premium, ATI All-In-Wonder 9200 128mb (I sold the AIW 2006
256mb that I had as it didn't work with Vista anyhow and put my old AIW back
    in)

I believe that your problem is related to the fact that ATI does not have
Vista drivers for the 91xx and 92xx graphics cards since the cards do not
have on board DX9 support so the basic drivers you are using do not support
    Media Player or MC well.

This is a global setting. You have to set the screen saver to NONE in Windows
Display Settings, not Media Player. Screensavers are only pretty pictures
anyway and serve no useful purpose with today's monitors. You should also not
allow turning off the monitor, hard drive, etc in Power Options.
