itunes will not run.

I just bought a shiny new ipod but when i tried to download itunes to my
shiny new laptop i keep getting the error "Visual Basic Script (VBScript) is
not installed or has been disabled. Make sure VBScript is installed, turn off
script blocking in anti-virus and personal firewall software, re-register
VBScript"??
I have no clue how to do this or what it means!!
Please help,using vista home premium.

RE: itunes will not run.

I GOT IT!! IT WORKS..YOU DEFINATELY MUST BE LOGGED ON AS THE ADMINSTRATOR TO
DO THIS...I JUST COMPLETELY TURNED MY ADMINSTRATOR OFF...Re-enabling the
VBScript engine in Windows XP

If the VBScript is installed, it might not be registered within Windows XP.
To re-enable the VBScript engine, follow these steps:

On the Start menu, click Run.
In the "Open" field, enter the following command and click OK.

regsvr32 %SystemRoot%\system32\vbscript.dll

A message should appear stating that the "DllRegisterServer in
C:\WINDOWS\system32\vbscript.dll succeeded."
Click OK and try installing iTunes or QuickTime again.
Note that the user needs to be logged in as the administrator or is a user
with admin privileges for the step above.

Open an elevated Command Prompt to register the module vbscript.dll. To open an
elevated
Command Prompt, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click
Command
Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

Type the following in the Command Prompt window:

regsvr32 vbscript.dll

Press ENTER
