I just bought a shiny new ipod but when i tried to download itunes to my shiny new laptop i keep getting the error "Visual Basic Script (VBScript) is not installed or has been disabled. Make sure VBScript is installed, turn off script blocking in anti-virus and personal firewall software, re-register VBScript"?? I have no clue how to do this or what it means!! | | RE: itunes will not run. I GOT IT!! IT WORKS..YOU DEFINATELY MUST BE LOGGED ON AS THE ADMINSTRATOR TO DO THIS...I JUST COMPLETELY TURNED MY ADMINSTRATOR OFF...Re-enabling the VBScript engine in Windows XP If the VBScript is installed, it might not be registered within Windows XP. To re-enable the VBScript engine, follow these steps: On the Start menu, click Run. In the "Open" field, enter the following command and click OK. regsvr32 %SystemRoot%\system32\vbscript.dll A message should appear stating that the "DllRegisterServer in C:\WINDOWS\system32\vbscript.dll succeeded." Click OK and try installing iTunes or QuickTime again. Note that the user needs to be logged in as the administrator or is a user with admin privileges for the step above. To open an elevated Command Prompt, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. Type the following in the Command Prompt window: regsvr32 vbscript.dll Press ENTER |
