Right now your system appears to never had a working install, if that's the
case. The Vista version is 11.0.6000.6324. Is there any version of that
file in c:\windows\dllcache ?
Was WMP working previous to the upgrade... ?
Given what you've said so far, you would want to run a System File
Protection scan, which I believe is runnable via running:
sfc /scannow
That may prompt you for your Vista CD, as you would need to restore the real
Vista version of wmp.dll from somewhere.
