How do i change Media player 11 to Media player 10 on Vista? I am downloading
music to my phone and it won't let me because it requires Media player 10.

It is not possible to install earlier versions of Windows Media Player (such
as Windows Media Player 10) on a computer running Windows Vista.

One solution to your problem might be to upgrade the software on your phone.
Check with your phone supplier (in most cases, the company that bills you
for monthly service) to see if it supports this option.

Apparently you can

How to install Windows Media Player (WMP) 10 on Windows Vista 32/64-bit

I haven't tried it yet - but I will shortly. I'm not doing it for the same reason, I'm getting rid of MP11 because it is useless - it plays very little of my media. I'd get rid of Vista too if I had working XP drivers for my laptop.

edit - this process doesn't work as described on vista home premium since it requires gpedit.msc - you can get around it if you are good with the registry. howeve having gone through that it doesn't play back video properly once installed.
