| | Monitored Folders WMP I keep all audio files in my Music folder, meaning all files related to audio. Most of my audio is music files, but i have some stock sound files for when i create little films. In Windows media player, i have the Music folder set to be monitored. Its ok for my music to be added to the library, but my sound files are also added. I have to remove them from my library, but once in a while i add new files and they get added to the library. I keep all my sound files in folder called Sounds in the Music folder. I was wondering if there was a way to stop monitoring a specific folder in a monitored one. This will save me from having to delete the unwanted sound files from the library every time. I also don't want to move the Sounds folder out of the Music folder, but if there is no way to help my problem then i must resort to that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

| | Re: Monitored Folders WMP I am not aware of any way to exclude monitoring a folder within a folder. However, if the sizes of your sound files are substantially smaller than the sizes of your music files, you could try configuring Windows Media Player not to add small files (for example, anything smaller than 300 KB) to your library. Press F3 to open the "Add To Library" dialog box, click "Advanced Options," and then change the audio value in the "Skip file smaller than" box. For more information, see the section "To change which folders are monitored by the Player" in the following Help topic: http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...91033.mspx#EMB -- John Shaw Windows User Assistance team Microsoft Corporation "k1190" <k1190@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news EFC96DD-7B84-4632-A292-78D100A33111@microsoft.com...>I keep all audio files in my Music folder, meaning all files related to > audio.
