My computer keeps shutting down

    My computer keeps shutting down

    Every time I go to listen to music that is downloaded into the hard drive,
    after a random period of time, the music will start skipping, go to the Blue
    Screen, then restart. It is a brand new computer, and I am running Vista
    Business Edition. All I use the computer for is music, so any feedback would
    be greatly apreciated.

    you might get a heat / fan monitor program.
    I use Speed an.

    unusual shut down are commonly caused by over heating./

    new computer or not it is still possible.

    This is happening to me too.

    I've seen others complaining about this.

    I believe this is a Vista problem.

    My initial thought was an over heating issue too but it could be a host of other things.

    In Control Panel/Administrative tools

    go to Event Viewer

    This will give you clues if it's something software or hardware related that could be causing the problem.

    Since it's a brand new PC my initial thoughts might be correct
