Vista - Do I have to download flash player?

I just bought a new computer with Vista Home Premiun.

Do I have to download flash player to view images and audio files from
internet?
After clicking the button that select the songs on a web page, the song does
not play back.

Thank you for your help...

what program is it asking for.,
more common for windows media player to be used than flash for music.

There are some sites that won't work entirely unless you have the Adobe
Flash Player. It's not necessary for all images and audio you will run
across, but some images, and even sound and video, will require the Flash
plug-in (like YouTube ). You can download it here:

Uncheck the Google Toolbar option, check "I agree to the Adobe Flash Player
Terms of Service", and then click on Install Now. The plug-in will work
automatically when you are at a website that requires it.
