WMP 11 Bluescreen

Every time I try to play a DVD on my computer via WMP11 or Classic for that
matter, it will work for a few moments and then Bluescreen me. My video card
is an 8800GTX SLI with all updated drivers.

WMP will play downloaded clips just fine. I haven't dared to try music yet.

What's the deal?

Re: WMP 11 Bluescreen

Does this *just* happen for DVDs? What are the details of the bluescreen--

?

Re: WMP 11 Bluescreen

I will try and reproduce it here for ya and get the info. It only happens
with DVD-ROMs... CD's work perfectly fine. I believe it is linked to a
problem I have overall with DVDs working, I can't install from most DVDs
either and even though my bios detects the DVD in the drive, and shows it,
Vista will tell me to "please insert disc". I have your standard DVD-ROM
drive, an LG.

Re: WMP 11 Bluescreen

Well, here is the Bluescreen info it gave me in the Problem History.

A problem with your video hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly.

I do run 2X 8800GTX SLI on a 1680X1050 wide resolution... Vista not work
with that kinda of setup?
