How to Change the format of an M3U file

I'm trying to import an M3U file to movie maker but I get an error message
that the class isn't registered. I was wondering if it's possible to change
the format. I'm not very "computer literate" so try to make it simple.
Thanks for any help you might be able to give.

Re: How to Change the format of an M3U file

An M3U file is a playlist of music files, not a music file itself. You need
to import the music files directly.
