Restoring Default Music folder in Vista.

I deleted the Music folder too see if Vista would automatically restore it
like Xp does, apparently it doesnt. The Music link from the Start Menu doesnt
work, it doesnt even appear on <User Name>, How can I restore it?

RE: Restoring Default Music folder in Vista.

I know this will sound silly but right click in user folder, then select new
and then folder. Type in Music.

Re: Restoring Default Music folder in Vista.

Click Start, type "shell:my music" and press ENTER.

Is the folder restored?

RE: Restoring Default Music folder in Vista.

Already tried that, but Vista wont recognize that folder as a Music folder.

Re: Restoring Default Music folder in Vista.

Tried to do that, but it ownt restore it. As of now, I've created a new user
and I'm using that, seeing as it was the only way to get iTunes working.
Something i forgot to mention is that I Shift+Deled the music folder to see
if Vista would restore it just like XP, and well, apparently it doesnt.

Re: Restoring Default Music folder in Vista.

If you really want this back that way, I can probably find codepaths in WMP
that would rebuild it that you could then use... I suspect there's a
variety of ways to get it back (anything that calls the proper shell API
with a CREATE flag). It's nice of the system to trust that you REALLY
wanted to delete it, though, I guess. =\

Re: Restoring Default Music folder in Vista.

It was very nice of the system indeed =).
As for the codepaths, dont bother, like i said before, made another account
and it solved the problem with iTunes not finding the default music folder.
Thanks for the help.
